Position Description:

The Assistant Director for Student Financial Aid is responsible for providing financial aid program/application counseling and guidance to student applicants and families, both in-person and on-line. This position requires an emphasis on compliance, efficient use of technology, communications and customer service. Responsibilities include: determining eligibility, processing, and awarding financial aid packages for students; performing federal verifications and communicating with students and colleagues through multiple channels.

Minimum Qualifications:

A Bachelor's degree, attention to detail, high level of accuracy, working knowledge of MS Excel, electronic communications and web based application are required. Candidate must have the ability to work with financial documents, organize and interpret data, work independently and multi-task.

Preferred Qualifications:

A Master's degree, previous financial aid experience in higher education, 1 or more years of relevant work experience, and knowledge of Title IV Federal Financial Aid Programs are preferred.


$36,000 - $42,000. Comprehensive fringe benefit package including employer paid full family coverage for health insurance, ITAA retirement plan, and tuition waiver benefits.
