Each spring prior to our conference we host our NDASFAA Committee Meetings virtually to allow all of our membership the opportunity to participate in a committee. Below are descriptions about each of our committees and a link to their scheduled Teams Meeting.
- Awards and Membership – Maintain a list of individual years of service of our members, coordinate retirement awards, request Rookie of the Year nominations, provide membership certificate awards for years of service and encourage new members to join and participate.

- Awareness – The Awareness Committee helps to bridge the gap between students and post-secondary education funding. Encouraging students to attend financial aid nights/workshops offered to them by awarding scholarships yearly to students who attend. Hosting counselor workshops for high school and career counselors in order to provide updates on a wide variety of educational topics such as FAFSA updates, federal updates, North Dakota State Grant and Scholarship program updates, etc. Creating and promoting awareness about the FAFSA, how to complete it, and the benefits associated with completing it. Sharing information related to available resources and/or contacts located in local financial aid offices in order to create and promote financial literacy within the local and state region.

- Conference – Plans the annual conference for NDASFAA members, establishes conference dates, chooses a venue to host the conference, selects session topics and presenters for the agenda, and collaborates with the NDASFAA board and other NDASFAA committees.

- Diversity, Equity & Inclusion – Present to the membership current events, issues and topics that impact students. Research topics concerning design and implementation of new programs that affect the culturally diverse student. Provide topics and/or speakers for consideration at the annual conference or other NDASFAA trainings that focus on cultural diversity, equity, and inclusion issues. Provide project ideas or assist the conference committee with the annual spring conference philanthropy project.

- Electronics Initiatives – The Electronic Initiatives Committee is responsible for updating and maintaining the NDASFAA website and retains historical data for NDASFAA. The committee also works to coordinate with other NDASFAA committees to help meet their technology needs, such as providing membership data, conference committee support, and updating the website with committee minutes and reports.

- Professional Development – Coordinates training workshops for NDASFAA membership, selects training personnel and site coordinators, formulates the agenda, coordinates outside agency participation and sponsorship, notifies potential attendees of training opportunities, and maintains registration of workshop attendees. The Committee alerts members of federal legislative issues and legislation when necessary.
