Good Morning NDASFAA Friends,
The NDASFAA Board met yesterday to discuss the 2020 Spring Conference scheduled for April 15-17 in Grand Forks. Through much discussion, the Board has decided to cancel the conference due to the current climate surrounding the Coronavirus, travel restrictions, large group meetings and guidance from public health experts. This is especially unfortunate because of our plans to celebrate NDASFAA’s 50th Anniversary. The safety and health of NDASFAA members, attendees, and guests was the Board’s top priority in making this difficult decision.
*The contract with the Hilton Garden Inn for the conference was canceled at no cost to us. If you have already reserved a room at the Hilton, please remember to cancel your reservation.
*For those of you who have already registered for the conference, a 100% refund will be issued.
*Rookie of the Year, Years of Service, and Retirement awards will be announced and posted to the website, certificates will be mailed.
*Committees are encouraged to meet remotely and send their minutes to me by June 1, if possible.
We are currently working towards:
*A survey for voting members to elect a President-Elect, Secretary and Associate Member at Large.
*A way to solicit donations for the 2020 Philanthropy Project: TEARS https://www.altru.org/services/behavioral-health-clinic/tears/
